The old days of relying solely on finesse and brains are over. Building strength is the key for women hoping to lower their golf scores.

The question, though, is what type of fitness program will deliver the best results for female golfers? A growing number of golfers say that strength-training programs are the best choice.

The reasons are obvious: Strength-building programs allow female golfers to generate more power with their golf swings. They can then drive the ball with more authority, and send it flying a longer distance.
