A Non Stop Tour Of The Golfing Globe

By Ian Fletcher

Feeling the sun caress your cheek as you take a well practised swing with your golf club while you are enjoying some friendly chat with mates has got to be one of the best feelings on earth. Not only are you enjoying yourself but you are also doing yourself some good by doing some exercise into the bargain. If you have treated yourself to one of the golf breaks the UK can offer then you are onto a winner because these can give you a variety of courses to play at from top courses like the golf at St Andrews or a local course.

The great asset about UK golf breaks are that it is not only the golf you can enjoy but a multitude of other activities designed to give you a relaxing break away from the stresses and strains of life, going from a round of golf to a round of drinks in the evening, spa luxuries like steam and sauna rooms in the hotels you stay at and delicious meals to tempt you after being out and about all day.

With breaks in the UK you will have the time and energy to discover more about our country ranging from the wilds of the Highlands of Scotland to the undulating hills of the South Downs. Imagine teeing off while in the distance you can just see the sea sparkle and by using some golf course vouchers it has never been easier. And over the sea is France where there are many other courses where you can see how they do things over there.

Our nearest neighbour across the water boasts many different types of golf courses, ranging from the very elite where your pockets must be full to be able to afford the green fees to courses where anyone can play and that are specifically for the public to enjoy. Playing the golf France has will lead you to places you might never have considered before.

The beauty of teeing off on any golf course Spain has to offer increases the chance you will not have to shelter from the rain. Glorious weather in Spain is so much more guaranteed than the United Kingdom so you can revel in the fact that you can play your 18 holes without rain disrupting play.

This gives you the chance to just get up and go whatever the time of year if you have the inclination and the opportunity to play on a golf course Spain has on offer. The further down the country you go, the warmer and more predictable is the climate, which makes for a great day out on any golf course.

If the continent of Europe is a bit too close to home and you want to branch out a bit further, how about taking a chance on America? The southern state of Florida is a real hotspot for golfers and there are many well known people who have taken up the sport recently such as singer Justin Timberlake and actor Mark Wahlberg so you are in good company.

Not only does America offer you wide open spaces with many varying golf courses but you know you will be well fed at the end of the day. Another place closer to home that you could think about is Ireland with its friendly locals and Guinness on tap.
