What A Golfer Needs

By Stephanie Parsons

If you envision becoming a golfer, purchasing the right equipment is your first step. Necessities will include a set of clubs, a golf bag, tees, and golf balls. Buying expensive equipment may seem like a good choice, but especially when it comes to golf balls, you are better off buying less expensive ones since many will probably get lost. After you become more proficient, you can experiment with different brands until you find one you feel comfortable with. Some golfers claim you need expensive golf balls to succeed while others continue using cheap golf balls and never make the switch.

packages of golf balls contain three or more, depending on the brand. Golf balls can be bought in most sporting goods stores and specialized pro-golf shops. Golf balls range in color from white to a wide variety of bold colors. If you have trouble finding your ball in the grass or are unable to distinguish it from others on the green, you may want to buy golf balls in different colors.

Having a bag of golf balls available before you start will ensure you will have enough, as many get easily lost. As your game improves, you will notice that you can get through an entire game without losing a golf ball. Finding your golf ball each time will become increasingly easier as your game improves.

A golf bag does not have to be expensive or particularly fancy. A small pocket on your bag is necessary to store your golf balls. Always carry at least three golf balls with you when playing a round in case you lose one. Since golf balls are pretty durable, you don't have to worry about them warping or falling apart after being in your golf bag for a few months.

Replacement golf balls should be part of your budget as a beginner golfer. Brand is not important, but using the right weight and size can ensure that your game will continue to improve. When using the right equipment, golf can become a relaxing, stress-free hobby.
