Golf Cart Use

By Gene Fink

For some, golf isn't golf without walking the course, but not many people can do that. And this is where golf carts come in. This author personally won't play golf very often without the benefit of a golf cart, but that's just my preference - I tend to be a little lazy. You'll really have more fun with golf when you use one of the modern golf carts available these days.

You can use the golf cart to bring your golf bag, snacks, and soda. You can also use the golf cart to navigate the course.

The three biggest golf cart manufacturers are Yamaha, EZ Go, and Club Car.

Some golf carts are powered with small gas engines while others are electrically powered. The electric golf carts were the first mass-produced electric vehicles for private consumer use. Modern golf carts may have car-like styling despite being no bigger than a traditional golf cart. Nowadays, you can have audio entertainment systems, custom wheels, and custom body panels in different colors if you want.

And golf carts now aren't limited to use in golf courses. There are neighborhoods and small communities who use golf carts because these vehicles are less noisy and dirty, and are safer for pedestrians and other cars. Neighborhood Electric Vehicles are actually golf carts made for general transportation. They are similar in style to golf carts, but some are enclosed so they would still be fit to use in bad weather.

There is a huge market for aftermarket parts on golf carts. All manufacturing companies have aftermarket parts to offer for off-road capability enhancement. This is especially helpful for those people who buy used golf carts.

Many people accept golf carts as part of golf. But there are also those who are against the use of these vehicles because of the danger they pose. Either way, the truth is golf carts can really help make the game more enjoyable by leaps and bounds.
