Planning a vacation in an area that has many activities and something to keep you on your feet the entire time is an excellent way to have a great time with family and friends. Aspen, Colorado, is a great place to plan your next vacation. With its intense silver mining history and the abundance of beautiful sceneries, you won't run out of fun things to do and see. Home of some of the greatest ski and snowboarding mountains in the US, Aspen, Colorado, is an excellent choice for an enjoyable getaway.

Because of its short golf season, Aspen might seem a great attraction to golfers, but it is, in fact, one of the best places to play a round. The various golf courses are surrounded by the beautiful Rockies which makes it worth every penny. There are some very prestigious courses in Aspen including a course which was design by pro golfer Jack Nicklaus himself.

There are a few hiking trails in Aspen. The first place is Weller Lake. Weller Lake is an easy trail at 0.6 miles. The second place is Grizzly Lake. Grizzly Lake is 3.6 miles. The third place is Lost Man Trail. Lost Man trail is 8.9 miles and is one of the most difficult ones.

Biking in Aspen is an adventure. There are many mountain bike trails that range in a variety of difficulty levels. It is said that Aspen has some of the best biking trails in the country. Biking along foliage in full bloom makes awesome picture experiences.

When the Aspen snow melts and the lakes unfreeze, the fishing season begins. With the high elevation of these lakes, fishing in this area is spectacular. Remember to bring your fishing pole or rent one at one of the local lakes.

Nothing compares to skiing in beautiful Aspen, Colorado. Skiing down some of the most infamous mountains in the world in the middle of complete wilderness will get adrenaline flowing through you veins. You can't go to Aspen without trying out their remarkable slopes!

Snowboarding has gained in popularity in the past few years. This famous sport is welcomed at most of the main resorts in the area. Kind of like surfing on snow, there is nothing greater than being on a snowboard.

According to many reviews of Aspen, Colorado, it is a great place to go no matter what time of year it is. There is always something to do in Aspen. There are a variety of restaurants. Everyone in the family will love the charming city that overlooks the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
