The Nice Thing About Choosing Used Golf Balls

By Allisa Bennet

Those of you who are new to golfing do not know one fact, that the older the golf ball, the better it is. Just like how wine tastes better with age, so is it with the used golf balls.

First of all look at the advantage you have in buying used golf balls. They cost much lesser than the new ball and gives better performance that the new one. So why would you not buy a used golf ball for practice and go for a costlier new ball.

You can buy a huge lot of used golf ball at rock bottom price and use it for learning the game and practicing. Normally during the tournaments you can get them just outside the course where they give you cheaper deals.

Normally when you pick up a lot of used golf balls, the seller throws in a few more golf balls that he has with him too. These used golf balls if you notice would have been sparingly used may be at the tournament and hence will be as good as new.

Depending upon how good the ball is and how much it has been used, the seller groups the balls into different lots as per grades as A, AA and A+ etc. The prices vary accordingly to the lots. Depending upon your need and level of playing you can go in for a particular lot.

If you are a beginner in golf, then it is better for you to choose the cheapest lot and take it for practice. Whichever lot you decide to buy, they will still be cheaper than the rates in the market and for the new golf ball.

Many sellers also sell the all the grades combined into one lot and price it at an average price. This is also beneficial for you, if you happen to come across such a sale.

When one is learning the game and just started practicing the techniques of hitting the golf ball, you are likely to hit and lose a lot of balls before you get some sort of control. In such cases it works better for you to buy the entire lot of used golf balls in the lots and use them for your practice so that you are not having to worry about spending too much of money on buying new golf balls.
