By Alice Nance

It doesn't matter what your playing level is or your duration of playing time, golf is one of those games that you always want to make better. However, many times it is not that simple to do. This is really true if you cannot figure out why you are not getting any better, even when you are practicing a lot. Below you will find easy to apply advice that will have a good affect on the outcome of your golf game.

Although it is important to make your golf game better, it is also important for you to know exactly what you must improve. There are maybe some areas that you think you are performing well, but others need a lot of work. Therefore, the first step is to know if there are flaws in your game. You must look at specific areas of your game and determine if they are good such as short irons, uneven lies and the drivers. You have to then go back over your list and select the marks that are the lowest. These are the areas that you have to focus on. It might be a good thing to take lessons from a pro instructor. He can probably fix other bad habits that you have picked up along the way.

Plenty of women find it difficult to play golf often. This is because they other responsibilities such as working, taking care of children and the upkeep of their homes. This results in their finding very stiff joints. They are not as flexible as they once were, especially if they don 't play for a while. Once they go back to the golf course, they see that they are in plenty of pain. However, this would not occur if they took up flexibility and strength training. Flexibility will help with accuracy as well as hitting longer distances. It is suggested that you stretch at least two times daily in order to avoid stiffness and pain. Strength training is also very important if you want to hit the ball for very long distances and should be applied at least one time each day.

If you can develop the distance of your swing, you will really advance your golf game. Generally, building up your distance is related to getting more power in your shot. This is why female golfers have to understand that a majority of the swing's power comes from the central part of the body and not the arms. So, in order to get more power into your swing, you must put all of your body's weight into it. If you make a good turn on impact, you will have a bigger chance to hit the ball a long distance. Of course, you can increase your strength by using exercises designed for golfers. However, you should not push this aside because it can provide other benefits in other areas of your life.

A lot of times, playing better golf is all about being unprejudiced and figuring out what your bad and good areas are. If you are straightforward with yourself, you should know which areas are in need of improvement and concentrate on them. Although this will happen instantly, this make your game much better.
