It is not enough to know swings and get around the golf course with a par score to be called a great golf player. Do you really know what you are doing around the course? There are many people who don't even have the slightest hint on what they are doing in the golf course. To become a great golf player, you must know the factors that will assist you to achieve your golfing objectives. Many golfers have asked me what it takes to be good or even superb in the game of golf. I have also even asked myself the same question. But, you should know that becoming an amazing golf player can't be obtained just over night. The simple tips and trick I will impart with you in thiat plas article came from my years of playing the game of golf.

Many golfers, even those professional players, have spent much in their hopes of improving their overall golf performance. They buy various equipment, different golf magazines or books, and enrol in numerous golf lessons or in golf schools just to learn more techniques in enhancing their golf skills. I think the secret of becoming a great golfer is the constant search of becoming better. Here are some tips in becoming a great golfer.

Start Today

It is difficult to learn the techniques and hard to develop the needed skills when you begin playing the game late. This tip is for those aspiring golfers. If you are in your teens, you need to start now. The later you start learning and developing the skills, it will be more difficult to achieve your 'great golfer' objective.

Many top and professional golfers did not learn the basic skills in golf mechanistically. They started learning the game during their teenage years that they have imprinted the necessary skills in their Central Nervous System. Learning and developing necessary mechanics and skills at a younger age will help you imprint them in your mind and help you to gain bigger chance of becoming good at it. But if you are not in your teens today, you must start playing right now.

Be Natural Player

Becoming great in playing golf, I personally think that one should play it naturally. Playing it naturally entails one to develop the needed skills.

Golfers need to have the excellent visual-physical perception. This means that a golfer should have the natural ability to obtain the desired direction, distance, and speed of the ball by specific muscle movement. A golfer must know how hard he needs to hit the ball, in which direction and in what angle to swing the golf club so the ball will go to the direction he needs it to.

Excellent hand-eye movement should be innate to be a great golfer. You may know how hard to hit the ball because of good visual-physical perception, but you need to have good hand-eye movement to make it possible for the club face to hit the ball where you want it to. It is important to coordinate one's swings.

Bad hits, good hits but bad bounces, and other common course misfortunes can sometimes affect the focus of a golfer. A stable and excellent mental fortitude will keep emotions in check even with many mistakes. Excellent mental fortitude will maintain the hand-eye movement and visual-physical perception of the golfer.

Practice, Practice, Practice

For those who don't have the time to practice, I think you will not become a great golfer. I believe that the more your practice, the better is your overall performance around the course. Most top professional players do practice, practice, and practice.
