Medium Iron Golf Club - The Best Choice

By Bill Wire

Golf clubs are of several types; the two most common of them being woods and irons. Irons are very versatile but are mostly used for guiding the ball to the hole. Irons have three main parts: a shaft, the grip and the club head. Irons are classified as: long, short and the medium iron golf club in between.

They are usually numbered from one to nine and wedges. There are various parametric changes happens if you change the numbers. If the numbers increases that makes the loft to increase and the shaft length to decrease. The loft increase literally makes the ball to roll over a little further. Experts say that short irons are mostly preferable to a medium iron golf club for beginners, and the long one is very tough one to tackle.

Now let us come to the question as which will be the best golf club? The response for this would be: It solely depends on the personal experience and the purpose of handling it. The beginners are not advised to use irons 1 and 2 since it has little loft, thin club heads and long shafts. Irons which have larger numbers are better for the higher swinging radius and hence the ball gets more flight.

People get attracted on looking stars hitting the ball to a longer place but actual human being is not capable of hitting that too much with the kind of medium irons the professional have. The medium iron is a perfect one to start with.

Every golfer should have a clear picture of what he wants from his club. Like short and long irons, a medium iron golf club also has maximum, minimum and medium yardages. Specific stances are required for playing with each type of golf club during the back-swing, downswing and address positions. Body weight must be properly distributed on the legs.
