Want To Fix That Golf Cut? 3 Suggestions To Help You Fix Slice And Bring More Pleasure To Your Golf Game

By James Baldwin

The very first thing you want to understand is what a real slice is, so you know what to do to fix it. Effectively a cut is when you hit the ball and it curves either right or left.

There may be several causes for this one of which occurs when you come over the top. When this happens you strike the ball with the face coming across the target line. Another way this may occur is if the club face is open as you strike the ball.

The club face can basically open on the backswing, on the downswing when you cut the ball coming across the target line it causes the ball to spin.

Initially the ball may fly straight but as the rate of the ball declines the spin becomes a factor, making it spin off the target line.

1. The first sure-fire path to stop the cut involves the shoulders. It is really significant that you keep your shoulders aligned with the target line. Your posture must be balanced and also aligned.

If you were wearing a belt for instance the buckle should be facing the ball right in the center. In terms of posture you want to bend form the hips and pop your butt out as if making ready to sit on a stool.

2. The second sure-fire route to fix a cut is to address your grip. The versus. On your grip for a right hander should be facing your right shoulder.

On your left hand keep your thumb down along the shaft. Then your right hand comes overboard and your thumb and index finger should sit on each other.

Do not squish the club too hard keep your grip relaxed.

3. The third sure fire route to cure the cut is related to ball position and swing. Keep the ball in a situation where it can remain parallel to your shoulders.

Visualize a train track where your shoulders and ball will be parallel to the target line. On the backswing take the club back straight and slightly within keeping your right elbow near to the side of your body.

If you practice this on the range you'll see results and cure that terrible cut for good.
