Marketing strategy for golf clubs

By John Mayer

Marketing strategies can certainly not be the same for every article otherwise reducing prices for every article should have seen a rise in the sale of that article. But that is not so. This is the reason why you need to be extra cautious about how you market your product. Reducing the price of golf clubs will certainly not boost its sales, but can actually take the same a notch down.

Have you ever wondered why the idea of reducing the price of the clubs can backfire? Well, golf is generally considered to be a sport played by the elite and it is said that the price of the club decides how good the club actually is.

Someone of high repute would certainly not like to play with a club which is relatively cheaper or is being offered at a discount. If the prices are lowered it takes away the sheen away of the club and it is being considered of inferior make. Why would someone thus want to reduce the prices? In case the prices are lowered then those clubs would only be bought by men and women who are from a lower economical background. Thus lowering the price of the clubs is certainly not a good move.

Instead of this one can actually provide better after sales services, towels, good bags to carry the clubs and so on. Every time you would have to try new things so that you can catch the imagination of your customers.

Thus following the same marketing strategy for golf clubs can actually backfire and you should find new ways of advertising your product and avoid lowering the prices at all cost. Rather you can try making them a bit costlier every time so that people think that you have actually improved the product further.
