Improve Your Golf Swing

By Jenne Mae

The golf range is definitely a location where every golfer will go to try and repair what went wrong on the course. They will hit literally hundreds of golf balls to get that golf swing back in the groove.

Once I go down the golf range a great golf tip is to grab some golf clubs and begin by making some slow swings. The extra weight will help to loosen up the muscles and get a nice rhythm. I start with hitting a dozen or so golf balls to loosen up.

After loosening up with the pitching wedge, I am ready to work through the golf bag starting with the 9-iron, then after hitting a few balls with the 9-iron I would go up to the 7-iron and then onto the 5-iron. When I am finished with the 5-iron, I will work through all my woods. A great golf tip is to position a club on the ground to assist with squaring your body to the target, making sure your set-up is square to the target your aiming at.

A large mistake is to make contact with balls without selecting a target. Say for instance if you using the driver, pick out two markers in the background and imagine they are the fairway boundaries. This is a good golf drill, making your practice a lot more realistic. A great way to prepare yourself for the opening few holes is to picture the first hole, then start with the driver and tee off.

Then work out your drive and imagine what yardage is left, choosing the club accordingly, hit your second shot and so forth. This is a fantastic way to get ready and build confidence for the first tee.

With the right golf swing drills it will be much easier for you to improve your swing. Just continue to practice the right methods and continue to get better everyday.
