Golf Swing Depression? Here Are 3 Solid Tips To Make Them Better

By Alice Blanchard

The game of golf requires that every player, amateur or pro, to forever work on improving the fabled golf swing. The pro golfers are engaged in the lifelong study of perfection in form and mind as they work to lower their scores every day. As you know quite well, we're sure, there are very many methods and approaches to making your golf swing rise from the ashes like a phoenix. Power matters but it's more about what can be done with that power that really is the most important consideration. As far as accuracy is concerned, there's much that can be done to bring that up to par, too. The rest of this article is all about making your golf swing the envy of your local golf course.

Never allow yourself to swing any club very quickly. But you will see more new golfers "going for the gold" with their swings than the battle hardened players. As you reach the summit of your swing - the top, then just pause a trifle. Keep in mind that you're not stopping; make the pause a short one, not long. Your swings will always have a rhythm to them, so you don't want to pause so long that you break it - the pause is part of the rhythm. Just think about what's going on with your swing; if there is no pause you will be much more likely to lose some control because you need to be mindful of the change from back/front swinging.

The inside of your right foot is where you need to place your body weight. The distribution of weight and body mechanics is important to learn as early as possible in your game. Yes, of course we know power is so important, however in order to get the most from your swing you'll need to have that body weight unevenly distributed toward the rear in your swing. Your ball will not be consistent as it travels if you do not have your weight properly displaced on your right knee. You need to relax and focus on being steady for best results. Your right leg needs to be like a tree trunk, but not rigid of course.

If you need to work on the swing power, then you need to use the leg and trunk muscles. Also, bear in mind always that your powerful swings are not due to having strong or powerful arms. The thought that arms are responsible for power in a swing is understandable, but is is wholly incorrect. We advise against trying to hit with only the use of your arms because that's a good way to hurt yourself. The expert use of body mechanics and movement will give you strength from your body trunk and your legs. Your stance is critical, and this will help you keep the right stance. Your arms and wrists will have an easier time of it. If you keep at it, then you can have the kind of power and accuracy that will improve your game.

So many millions of people love playing golf as frustrating as it can be. It's helpful to understand that improvement comes slow, and you'll need to work at it and be dedicated. Improving your golf swing can be accomplished, of course, but it will take time. You have to believe that you're capable of improving your golf swing, too.
