All year round you will be able to find golf courses that are open around the world. If you want to escape the cold winter months their is no end to the choices of places to go in warmer climates. The summer months expand golfing choices to other areas. You can plan a trip around any of the major holidays throughout the year. It could be a memorable experience to celebrate a holiday playing a game you love in a great climate.

Make sure when choosing a course that it is open to the public. You do not want to travel someplace and find out you cannot play on the course. Planning ahead in this area is important.

You can make golfing the major activity for your vacation. There are numerous places that have vacation packages centered around playing the game. Make sure you know what your costs cover. They may include your green fees, golf cart, and refreshments. If these costs are not covered in a package you will have to be prepared to pay for them on your own.

If you can swing a vacation in this economy you might be able to get a really good deal from a resort. These places are almost desperate to get business. Be prepared to negotiate a vacation package. You might be surprised at the deal you can get. It is worth the effort.

Many courses are near affiliated condos. You can rent these condominiums. The people who own them often have them open for rent when they are not there. Most have all the amenities of being at home. They certainly are more comfortable than a hotel room. You can also save on money by using their kitchen facilities rather than eating out.

If you are newer to the game you can check into seeing if you can get a lesson from the course professional. This might be a separate charge or part of vacation packages the resort has to offer. If someone in your party is a real beginner a lesson or two might help them keep from being stressed on your vacation.

You might be bringing along a spouse or children that do not participate in the sport. When you search for your vacation you should be able to find opportunities for them to enjoy themselves as well. Bringing a family is another reason to consider looking into renting a condominium. Everyone will be more comfortable.

If you plan to go to an area that has many golf courses you can look into playing on more than one course. This will give you some variety of play and scenery. Sometimes courses are owned by the same business. They might be willing to offer vacation packages that will get you on more than one course for a lower price.
