Is This The Perfect Golf Swing?

By Wade Pearse

What's wrong with this picture?

We'll take a closer look at the outcome of golfers chasing the pefect swing. In 1978, 75% of all golfers never broke 90 - so barely 25% ever shot in the 80's.

In 2011, a full 33 years on, not very much has changed. After the advent of 460CC drivers with 46" multi-kick point shafts, cavity back irons, balls that prevent hooks and slices and go further than ever seen before, and top flight coaching from the brightest minds in the biz, a gigantic 3% more golfers actually break 90!

But hey, let's cut the industry some slack, there has only been 90 billion spent on golfing gear over that period. That amount does not even include lessons or training aids! All that technology and collective knowledge and this is how far we've come...impressive, huh.

Seriously, any other business that produced numbers this pathetic would be out of business. But the golf public has a ravenous appetite to build the perfect golf swing and an ever growing horde of manufacturers and marketers are very willing to feed that wish.

Here's a novel idea...

Perhaps players should try something different... There's an old saying that goes, "Doing the same thing time after time again, while expecting different results, is the definition of insanity."

Maybe it is time for a new method. Ya think!

Buying new drivers each year, the most recent and greatest training aids and chasing after the perfect golf swing isn't the answer, as statistics obviously prove. Certainly having good clubs is vital yet your clubs don't do the swinging... You do. As Lee Trevino used to point out "It's the Indian, not the arrow that matters."

Even great instruction isn't the answer, in and of itself, to lower scores. YOU still have to make the perfect swing which will always be depend on how you internalize what you've learned and how you direct your mind.

The new golf paradigm starts in the mind & body

The golf industry lacks a model for teaching players peak performance strategies that speed up learning and enhance multiple areas of the game all at the same time. Although not from an instructional perspective: from the launch pad of your mind.

It's your mind that determines how you swing, when you pull the trigger, what shot selection you're going to use, the club you choose , the sort of swing your body makes, etc, etc.. Your mind is the driving and guiding factor in everything you do in golf. Since this is undoubted logic, why do golfers focus on their mind and how tap its amazing power, the least!?

What have you bought to enhance your inner game lately? When you decide the amount you've invested into the mental side of your game and improving your play from the inside out, compare that with the amount you have spent on the rest in the game. Interesting thought isn't it...

Since how you use your mind destines how good of a golfer you'll ultimately become, doesn't it at least seem sensible to invest at least some energy into this area? visualisze having the ability to gain precision and add enormous distance while at the same time improving consistency. That is what perfect golf swing actually is. Now imagine doing all this without lessons OR having to get any dodgy coaching aids or a $400 driver each year. This is what effortless power golf is all about. As you are about to find out...
